What is Giving Day? Giving Day is Virginia Tech's annual fundraising event, started in 2018, where Hokies come together for 24 hours to support the area that means the most to them at the university. This year's Giving Day campaign takes place Feb. 21-22, 2024, from noon to noon Eastern Time.

Admitted Student Visits is an optional program for newly admitted students and their families to visit campus prior to their start at Virginia Tech. Visits are in-person and take place in July. In this one-day program, students and families will learn about Virginia Tech resources, campus navigation, and much more.

Tuition assistance and reimbursement

Salaried employees who have been with the university for at least 90 days are eligible to apply for tuition assistance. The Tuition Waiver Program applies to full-time and part-time salaried employees who wish to take credit courses at Virginia Tech or other accredited institutions.
